How are recording duration and sample interval (rate) related?

How frequently a temperature sample is taken (sample interval) determines how much time will pass before the logger memory is filled.

The chart below illustrates how sample interval, memory size, and recording duration are related.  

For example, if the recorder has 8k of memory and the sample interval (or sample rate) is 10 seconds, the recorder will run for 20 hours and 12 minutes.  However, if the sample interval is set to 10 minutes, the recorder will run for 51 days, 18 hours, and 20 minutes.
